Allowing someone else to claim your NBI Clearance can be a practical solution for busy individuals. The good news is that NBI Clearance branches do permit authorized representatives to collect your clearance on your behalf with a proper authorization letter.
This option is particularly useful if taking time off work to claim your clearance would be inconvenient. However, if your application has been flagged as a “HIT” requiring a Quality Control Interview, you must appear in person for questioning.
What is an Authorization Letter?
As referenced in our NBI Clearance application guide, an authorization letter legally permits another person to act on your behalf temporarily. These letters are commonly used for financial matters, appointments, or document claims like your NBI Clearance.
How to Write an NBI Clearance Authorization Letter
While there’s no official NBI template, the letter should be professionally presented – preferably typed and printed. Handwritten letters may cause processing delays. Ensure your letter clearly includes:
- Your full name, age, and address
- Authorized representative’s name
- Both your signature and the representative’s signature
